Asetri has always been known as very bright and energetic by her family and friends. She's always willing to try new things and puts her all into everything she does. People often comment that she never seems to frown, - she has an optimistic view on life and is very passionate about simply being alive and experiencing the world. She struggles with social cues and auditory processing though, and gets very easily frustrated with herself on this front. She thrives in nature and has a deep passion for conservation, but in settings like school or public cities she is very easily overwhelmed and struggles to function normally. She's never rude to anyone (even when angry) and is very capable of strong argument when debating on something she loves. However, she struggles to express when someone's upset her and tends to let interpersonal issues simmer until she can't handle them anymore.
Biography:
Asetri is apart of an alien race native to a star originally known Viesta. This star was once thick with natural life that the natives took care of, but when the star was discovered by outsiders it was eventually colonized by outside races seeking to turn the star into a hub for mining and city life. By time Asetri was born there were not many of her race left, and the star had been rebranded by the government to V89.
Asetri's family did not have much growing up, but they loved her with all their heart and encouraged her to take care of what nature was left the way their ancestors had. She spent much of her childhood exploring outdoors and learning to appreciate natural life. However, she struggled immensely throughout her education, as she was easily overwhelmed by the sensory feedback of the cities and was often discriminated against for being native and for her difficulty understanding social interaction.
Asetri's school life was very lonely, and for the most part she only had her family for company. When she became old enough that she traditionally would be leaving her star to seek learning on a different planet, her family worried they simply wouldn't have the funds to be able to send her anywhere. This was when they learned of a program that sought to give underprivileged aliens a chance to seek an education on earth, where humans had opened up their planet to exchange students from outside planets and stars. They applied and eventually Asetri was accepted - she thus made the choice to head to earth, wanting to learn all she could and make her family proud.
She became the first alien student at the college she attended, and was determined to make it a worthwhile experience even if it was difficult. She continues to spend her time there learning both in school and about happenings on earth, and has even been able to find love in her time there.
